BlackFly Day, 360 Panorama, Price Check, Rick O'Shea [Video]

The turkey has been decimated, the door-buster deals have been acquired, and your family is already arguing about who's going to host Christmas dinner. Just because the Back Friday deals have come and gone doesn't mean you shouldn't continue your moving-saving ways. Panorama 360 will help you capture the three-circus that is your family. Plus, I bet you could use a game to distract you. I know I need one. And a stiff drink.

Hack your monitor and 3D glasses, ensure ultimate privacy

You've always wanted a bit more privacy with your monitor (porn jokes notwithstanding) and if you're willing to tear apart a spare LCD monitor and a pair of 3D theater glasses (thanks, Dreamworks and Pixar!), you'll get it. In lieu of a thicker tinfoil hat, Instructables' dimovi suggests removing the LCD's frame, cutting out its polarized film with a utility knife before removing the screen's film adhesive with a combination of cleaner and paint thinner and reassembling the monitor. Once complete, grab the glasses, cut out the lenses and combine them with the plastic film removed from the monitor before inserting them back into their frames. The result is an LCD monitor that displays a white screen to anyone not wearing the customized glasses, your actions being confidential, no matter what they might happen to be. Check the how-to video embedded after the break, or hit the source link for full instructions

If you store your music on an iPhone or iPod and also enjoy internet radio, the PURE Contour is a one of the nicer speaker systems that I’ve had the opportunity to review. FCC Fridays: November 25, 2011

We here at Engadget Mobile tend to spend a lot of way too much time poring over the latest FCC filings, be it on the net or directly on the ol' Federal Communications Commission's site. Since we couldn't possibly (want to) cover all the stuff that goes down there, we've gathered up all the raw info you may want (but probably don't need). Enjoy!

YouTube adds Disney, Pixar, and DreamWorks rentals

Disney, Pixar, and DreamWorks

Google has been working hard to gather more media content these days and now, coming shortly after their Google Music announcement comes the news they've fleshed out a deal with Disney, Pixar and DreamWorks Studios to bring much of their content to YouTube.

Fans of animated movies? We’ve got the beloved animated classic, Alice in Wonderland and the newly envisioned Winnie the Pooh. Love Disney·Pixar? We have hits like Cars and Cars 2 all in one place. Up for a little bit of adventure? We’ll take you from the darkest depths of the oceans with all four of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, including the most recent blockbuster in the franchise Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.

Aside from just bringing the content in, Google will be working with the studios to offer YouTube Movie Extras with behind-the-scenes clips, interviews, and other exclusive content. The rentals are live on YouTube right now some you can likely pick up for $.99.

South Korean Prisons Will Be Run By Robots Next Year [Robots]

We all know that robots make everything better. Somehow, though, I'm not sure the inmates of a South Korean prison will agree when robot guards start appearing next year. More »

Words With Friends for Android updated, promises "smoother game experience"

wordswithfriends
As several of you noted in the comments to our post asking for cross-platform iOS/Android games, Words With Friends for Android does not provide the smoothest gaming experience... and that's being rather charitable.

You might be happy to hear that a couple of days ago Zynga released an update which promises to solve many of the Android-specific issues, such as notifications not popping up.

Sadly, installing the update is not a smooth experience; you have to manually uninstall the previous version, and then go to the Android Market and install it. What's nice is that it doesn't lose your saved games - this screenshot shows a game I've started before the update and continued after updating.

How's the new update working out for you? Let us know in the comments!
